 Neo Building Design was our first experience working with a building designer and hence we didn’t know what to expect. We have been impressed by the amount of time they have spent with us so that they could fully understand our vision and capture that in the design of our new home. Scott Russell Scott Russell Constructions Three and a half years ago we decided to renovate our three bedroom house. Unfortunately, we selected a builder who was not aligned with our values and really let us down from a workmanship perspective, but also from an ethical perspective. We spent the next three years in and out of court as our family continued to grow and we welcomed our fourth child into the family. Six of us living in a three bedroom house has been cosy (and noisy) but the past three years has also been costly from an emotional and financial perspective. What should have been an exciting time in our life, turned into a long and expensive nightmare. The passage of time is strange thing and our little baby is now 2.5 years old. Then just before Christmas we were told we had won the appeal. Yippee! We could start the build. But would you believe it, the BSA builder allocated to us would not return any of our calls. As we battled with intense disappointment, I happened to be chatting (or perhaps whining) to a mother from Kindy. She mentioned, her husband Eamonn McCaffrey, was a Director with Interface Projects. She said he was a project manager who coordinated the many facets of residential renovations. Music to my ears... Within days we had engaged Interface Projects. Eamonn introduced us to a wonderful and award winning designer Jason Krueger (Neo Building Design) who completely transformed our plans into a much better and more functional design. He then introduced us to a professional and talented team of builders and the work began. Our friends and family are amazed how quickly the renovation has taken shape, but also how gorgeous it is. It is so comforting to know that our house is being built by an engaged team of professionals, who respect and honor our simple dream of creating a lovely family home for our children. For that, we will always be grateful to Eamonn and his team, but also to his lovely wife who came to our rescue, by chance, at that random kindy play date. Our business relies on having a team of building professionals that are reliable, consistent with outcomes and personable. We expect it because our valued customers expect it. We initially looked at rebuilding using a project home builder - thinking it would be fast and cost effective - but none of their designs complied with the new flood height regulations for new houses. When I finally called Jason, I thought that the house would look ridiculous (out of character with the rest of the street) and that it would cost a fortune. Jason assured me that neither of those things were true - he said it didn't have to look ridiculous, and it could be within our budget - we just needed to tell him what our budget was, and he would design it to suit. True to his word - he is dead on with the budget, and we couldn't be happier with the design. We haven't started building yet, but I'll write another testimonial when we're finished!
